Paragraph about “Candy Incident”

Today my english teacher handed out a bag full of candy, they were Colombian candy, which are usually artificially flavored and full of colors. As I took the bag in my hand I wonder what candy should I get, the bright yellow one, orange, green, or even blue. I decided to take the bright yellow one, its colors and smell atrackted me. As I picked up the candy from the bag I smiled. I smiled because I remembered when I was small, and teachers would use to give me candy as a reward for my good job. I forgot how this “satisfaction” used to feel.  I really loved it. Then, my face turned from a big and hilarious smile, to a dark and angry face. This was because one of my goals this year is to lose some weight, and candy definetly wont help me. So I used my power of will and gave it to my friend Juan Jose.

1. Spicy: when she talks we can see that she gets aggressive, or really mad. For example, when her mother calls her to check on her, we can see that her attitude and voice changes to a very angry and nutty voice.
2. Sarcastic: Lia is constantly fighting with her father, mother, and step mother because of her anorexic problem. She always uses a sarcastic voice when she says “oh I’m so skinny”, she thinks she isn’t by the way she uses her sarcastic voice, but she really is.
3. Flirty: When she meets Jonah she starts acting all flirty and talking in a very attractive way. I believe she does this because she doesn’t have a boyfriend, and never has, and one of her dreams was to have this perfect boy who would always be there for her. She tries really hard to be pretty.
4. Scared: When Lia starts cutting herself, and ends in the hospital, we can see her voice sounds as if she was in the scariest place on earth. She looks really scared on what doctors, family members, and friends will think.
5. Paranoid: When Lia’s best friend died because of being bulimic, she feels like she’s been hunting her down. Lia is constantly thinking of her, and she feels paranoid she is always there looking at her even though she is dead.
6. Fears: When she talks about her little step sister, we can see fear in her voice. I believe this is because Lia loves her so much, she is scared her little one will fall in the world of anorexia as well as she did.
7. Mysterious: Her voice sounds very mysterious, and strange. It’s almost like if she was stuck in her own world and sometimes no one can understand her.
8. “I’m the boss” attitude: She believes she is superior to everyone. For example, when she doesn’t eat anything until noon and she goes to the infirmary at school; they tell her to go eat something. Vey egocentric, she says: I don’t need anything to eat! When she really does.
9. Thinking of herself: Lia is constantly looking at herself in the mirror, she sees herself very fat and ugly. She is obsessed with her appearance.
10. Oblivious: Sometimes Lia talks like if she was in some other world, like if she was disconnected to reality. When her mother talks to her, she tends to not hear her, and start imagining things.

I look forward to seeing these things. As you know, Im really skinny, my parents say Im anorexic, but I know im not. Just because I want to be prettier doesn’t mean they have to call me anorexic. This wil totally help me to forget the fact that Im starving to death, and I will get to read stories, hear music, and see pictures. Im worried about the fact that some pictures are related to anorexia which I “supposedly have”. I hope I enjoy it and forget about that fat inside my body!

Fotobable:

• This is like a sort of power point that you can include photos, audio and social media. Many companies now a days use this program, meaning that it is a good one and reliable one. This fits to my character because I know Lia would love to see and use pictures for a collage.

Blabberize:

• This is similar to Fotobable, because we can make photos talk, and use their own voice! This is really cool, and would make a presentation very vivid.

Digw:

• In this tech tool, we find that we can create our own video games for our presentation. This is a very good way to catch the audience attentions in a fun, and easy way. Lia would use this because I know she would like to destract herself from eating with any source she can find.

My Fake Wall:

• This is just like a facebook profile in which people ca post, comment on photos, add photos, like comments, etc. This is a very fun way to show a presentation since it seems more “ real “, and facebook know a days is a resource than more than 75% of the population has.

Glogster:

• This awesome website is like a mixture of a blog and a windows page, this is a great way to show and organize ideas. Lia is a very organized person, and I believe that this would really help her organize her ideas.
